
Consider checking out other careers in the health field to make sure that you are committed to a career in medicine. There are several other careers in the healthcare field that also apply concepts of medical and biological sciences. These fields include: Pharmacy, Dentistry, Optometry, Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and more. Out of all of these fields, Medicine is the most challenging, and the most demanding. You can apply your science knowledge and work with patients in these other fields, and still make a good income. You will incur less student loan debt and start earning money earlier in your career/education. The road to becoming a physician is one that steals your twenties from you and you should really strongly consider whether this is the right path for you.
