In general most medical schools require the following college courses prior to beginning medical school:

  • 1 year of Biology with labs
  • 1 year of General Chemistry with labs
  • 1 year of Organic Chemistry with labs
  • 1 year of Physics (algebra-based) with labs
  • 1 year of English
  • 1 year of Math (some medical schools specifically require 1 year of calculus)
  • 1 Statistics course
  • 1 Biochemistry course
